Zoological Park of Naples

Zoological Park of Naples

The wildlife park of the Naples Zoo extends over 120,000 m2 of surface area. Taking advantage of the particular altitude of the land, the original designer, Arch. Luigi Piccinato, composed this vast park by arranging the species in successive panoramic terraces, connected by avenues and stairs, in so as to make the visit possible according to a precise itinerary.

Unfortunately, for various reasons, since the 1980s the Zoo has no longer been able to keep up with the times, nor has it managed to carry out those adjustments to the structures, which were essential to achieve its modern purposes .
