Insula 17 is located in the north-western vertex of Region I, located in the southern area of ​​the excavations, and has only been partially excavated; currently it is characterized by the presence of n. 3 partially excavated houses and a shop.

The works involved making the slopes safe, consolidating the walls, renovating the wooden roofs and restoring the frescoes.
